Neither of the Tomlins had
attempted to sing karaoke style until December 10,
2000. On that date Barbara brought home a semi-professional
edition of the Singing Machine from BestBuy in hopes
she and Gary could convince their friends to join them
in a
singing
celebration over the Christmas holiday season.
The Tomlins
were bitten immediately by the singing bug and quickly
went through two more Singing Machines when the BestBuy
store manager decided to give them their money back
and advised them to get a real professional system
from Lesmen's
Music in Albuquerque. Within six months the
Tomlin's were so hooked on singing they went
to Tennessee to record their first albums on CD. They've
been singing regularly ever since.

On August 14, 2006 Mr. and Mrs. T signed up at Ksolo.com
to record some of their favorite tunes. To sample their
progress to date, you can browse their lists of recorded
songs by clicking on your choice of links below:
Please note: If
you decide to record songs there, too, please let the
Tomlins
know
and
they will
be
sure to stop
and listen to your work. |
Often
Karaoke Guild members are invited to sing with
Mr. and Mrs. T in their home. Singers are treated
to
a professional karaoke system featuring wireless
mics and surround sound. They can select from over
30,000 songs in the Tomlin's
CDG/DVD collection or
bring their own CDGs.
On
special occasions Guild members are invited to
participate with Mr. and Mrs. T in the
karaoke musical variety entertainment shows they
produce for the benefit of various organizations,
community
and retirement centers,
family entertainment venues, and RV parks throughout
New
Mexico. Occasionally,
Mr. and Mrs. T take to the road, performing outside
New
Mexico
at such
locations
as San Simeon (home of Hearst Castle), Palm
Springs, and San Diego, California; Marietta and
Atlanta, Georgia; Knoxville, Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg
(located in the heart of the Great Smoky Mountains),
Tennessee; Bothell and Kirkland, Washington; and
a variety of upscale private and recreational
venues throughout Central Oregon.
If
you would like to join the Tomlin's in their Karaokeville™ adventures
sometime, consider joining
the American Karaoke Guild.
